Tea Cakes
From Mama Kay’s Favorite Family Recipes Cookbook. History: this is an old recipe from my Grandmother Bond.
Ingredients
1 cup Sugar
3 cups Flour
3/4 cup Butter
1/3 cup Buttermilk
1 tsp. Baking Powder
1 tsp Baking Soda
1/2 tsp Salt
1 Egg
Directions
Sift flour, sugar, salt, baking powder and baking soda together.
Cut in butter.
Add eggs and buttermilk.
Roll out thin
Cut
Bake on a greased cookie sheet for about 8 minutes at 350°-375°.
