Crispy Baked Chicken Wings

Ingredients

  • 4 lbs chicken wings, split at joints, wingtips reserved for other recipes

  • 2 T baking powder

  • 3/4 t salt

  • 1/2 t cracked black pepper

  • 1 t paprika

  • 1 t garlic powder

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 425°

  • Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a cooling rack on top

  • Spray with non-stick spray

  • Pat the wings dry and place them in a large bowl

  • In a small bow, combine the salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika and baking powder

  • Sprinkle the seasoning over the wings

  • Toss wings to coat evenly

  • Arrange the wings skin side up in a single layer on the wire racks

  • Bake, turning every 20 minutes until wings are crispy and browned

  • The total cook time will depend on the size of the wings from 40 to 60 minutes

  • Remove from the oven and let stand for 5 minutes
