Chili Cheese Spaghetti

Another family favorite from Mama Kay’s Cookbook. Everyone I’ve cooked this for loves it! We grew up eating this with buttered Club crackers. Makes a lot and can be frozen.


  • 2 lbs ground beef

  • 1 medium onion, chopped

  • 1 large jar Ragu spaghetti sauce

  • 1 large can chili, no beans (or 2 small)

  • 1 lb Velveeta cheese

  • 1 pkg spaghetti noodles


  • Cook spaghetti according to directions on bag/box then drain.

  • Brown meat and onions then drain.

  • Add spaghetti sauce with a little water (used to rinse out the rest of the sauce in the bottle) and chili.

  • Simmer for 15 minutes.

  • Cut cheese into chunks and add to sauce.

  • Stir until cheese melts. Make sure you stir or the cheese will stick.

  • Add spaghetti noodles and mix well.

  • Enjoy!
